On Monday night, your North Penn Knights
took on the Ridley Green Raiders. The
outcome was Knights 28 Raiders 7.
The Knights offense simply just overwhelmed
Ridley's defense with all of its weapons. When Ridley thought they
had stopped the Knights, the Knights just changed gears and came
at the Raiders from a different angle.
The Knights defense continues its tear, only
allowing the Raiders to score on its first possession. After that
the Knights picked it up and stopped a very talented quarterback
in his tracks. George Farrell and Deanco Oliver each had an interception,
destroying any hopes of a comeback.
Also, key play calling by coach Beck caught
Ridley off guard when he called for a fake punt that allowed Jimmy
Casertano to get 22 yards and a first down. Unlike last week the
Knights offense was fueled by the power running attack of Casertano,
who rushed for 178 yards and scored 3 touchdowns.
The Knights continue to roll over the opposition,
as they become the first football team to make it to the district
finals in North Penn history. Come out and support the Knights as
they hope to continue the winning streak when they take on Interboro
at Interboro this Saturday at 1:00.
On Saturday at 1:00 your North
Penn Knights will be taking on the Ridley Green Raiders at Ridley.
Comming off of last week's win against #1 seed Downingtown; the
Knights look to continue their winning streak.
But the challenge will be tough because Ridley
has the ability to win games. Which is evident in last weeks game
where they knocked off defending State Champion, Neshaminy 17-16.
Ridley's team is built solely around speed and the Knights defense
must play like they played last week in order to contain them.
But to the advantage of the Raiders they
know who Deanco Oliver is and won't take him lightly. But even if
they do shut down Deanco, the Knights will try to use a well balanced
attack to win.
